Shocking as is seems, the film was not produced for shock reaction — it is simply the bare truth that 50,000 Canadian school children disappeared, never made it home from school. It is the true story of the survivors of modern day genocide in a modern, free country - Canada. It happen in the USA, we just didn’t get around to documenting it. One Canadian official dismissed the complaints stating that Canada did not have a law against genocide. Kevin Annett is a true Canadian Hero. He asked his Church to stand with the marginalized, but got ostrosized instead.

Aboriginals listed as terrorists and insurgents says Fontaine
April 2, 2007 - by Joseph Quesnel
A national Aboriginal leader is asking Ottawa to ensure that Aboriginal groups are removed from a federal National Defense document which lists militant Aboriginal groups alongside other radical groups.
Assembly of First Nations National Chief Phil Fontaine today demanded that the federal government immediately remove any reference to First Nations in a Department of National Defense draft counter-insurgency manual listing international terrorist threats. According to a report by The Globe and Mail, radical Native American organizations such as the Mohawk Warriors Society are listed in the training manual as insurgents, alongside other insurgent groups.
“Any reference to First Nations people as possible insurgents or terrorists is a direct attack on us - it demonizes us, it threatens our safety and security and attempts to criminalize our legitimate right to live our lives like all other Canadians do. Just being referenced in such a document compromises our freedom to travel across borders, have unimpeded telephone and internet communications, raise money, and protest against injustices to our people,” stated AFN National Chief Phil Fontaine.
“I am calling upon Prime Minister Stephen Harper to immediately and without reservation, reject and remove any references to First Nations from all versions of the training manual.”
“It is shocking and outrageous to learn that the Canadian military would consider First Nations people as insurgents or equate us to Hezbollah or Hamas. Not only is there not a shred of evidence to make this link, First Nations have always served Canada well by their contributions to the Canadian services. Such absurd allegations only serve to undermine respect for the military and lead us to believe we will not be able to rely on their protection the way other Canadians do.”
Fontaine also pointed out that the revelation of Aboriginal groups within the training manual also comes after the federal government said that they aggressively audit and possibly cut off funding provided to First Nations organizations who participate in, or support the National Day of Action on June 29th, which the federal government has said may include illegal blockades and other activities.
“Taken with the report that we are included in the list of insurgent organisations in the military’s manual, raises serious questions about the federal government’s respect for freedom of speech and freedom of assembly for First Nations people. It appears that they want to silence us,” said Fontaine, in the release.
“The proposed June 29th National Day of Action is intended to bring focus to and generate awareness of the deplorable social - economic status of First Nations peoples in this country. Too often, First Nations poverty and the injustices suffered by our communities are not well understood. We aim to begin changing that by reaching out to Canadians and by putting our issues and our solutions front and center. First Nations people are people of integrity and we will abide by the rule of law while exercising our right to free speech,” said the National Chief.
The Assembly of First Nations is the national organization which purports to represent First Nations citizens in Canada.

Now they have the nerve to call our people insurgents or terrorists, even political dissidents.

Shame on you Canada! Taking away their lands and than killing their children in “schools”. Canada has to admit the genocide! I feel your pain brothers never forget about your traditions.

It is each and every one of us who has the responsibility to help bring those children home by whatever means we as individuals and communities have to work with. Those witnesses who have spoken about these unthinkable atrocities done again and again to our children - those who live the living nightmare have shown us the grief and trauma that is their life. The grieving will continue in the name of those we have lost. There is no healing. Pressure must continue until the guilt is acknowledged. Our loved ones will not rest, nor should those of us with strength to press on.

I would like to know where to start, my Father , now deseased was a victim, had difficulty relaying what happened to him , but was traumatized. He went to Le Jak He did say he saw sadism in this
residential school, now sure how to spell that. I thank you for this rude awakening as he was hesitant to expose us to the brutality.
I would like to help to expose this Genocide as I also went through the school system and there was always different levels and I reciieved this email almost a month ago but could not see 1 hour & 49 minutes free, last night I did. , I could hardley sleep , I will relay this the best I can. May God truly bless you, I am hesitant to believe in one, other than, Mother Earth, I only try to be true to myself and others, recyle and conserve on energy. Please advise. Like everyone else trying to earn a living.
Thanks again, for your sacarafice to expose this at great cost.

I just watched the video “Unrepentant-Canada’s Genocide. Kevin Annett is a hero for his stand on humanitarian justice, and telling the truth. I was mis- labelled as being mentally retarded and sent off to Woodlands school in my teens in New Westminister BC until I successfully ran away in 1973 at age 17. I launched a civil action against the Children and Families Service Ministry which succeeded in the Supreme Court in Vancouver BC on Dec 8th, 1998. My story also aired on the Fifth Estate April 13th, 1993. The abuse against native people was a horrible saga in Canadian history, but the abuse was not just limited to aboriginal people. As my story demonstrates as a child I was as orphan; today I am an adult who is a strong advocate for others, as my case has gone on to inspire others who suffered institutional abuse at Woodlands. Which is now a class action lawsuit being conducted by the law firm of Kleins and Lyons in Vancouver. I’m a firm believer that what does not destroy you only makes you stronger. The Ministry in my case bears the shame of what they subjected me too by way of an 83 page judgement handed down by Judge Lowry. Which also awarded me $100,000. Anyway thank you for allowing me free expression of my thoughts and feelings. James Hale P.S. If you want more detailed information on my case feel free to contact me.
