Sarah Palin’s Church

In case you were wondering. Unless the majority of people defy history and vote for a black man and the President exceeds a normal life expectancy, the world’s most powerful person will be someone who attends this, otherwise harmless, children’s playgroup of a church.

So? There was nothing shocking or surprising about that clip. Most AG churches are like that.

Sure. Perfectly normal
…for an autistic.

go to any Assembly of God church and that’s what you’ll find. And while you are at it go to an Interdenominational and Evangelical. You’ll get a real experience there. As far as I am concerned those that I find AG churches and the like “weird” or “zombie-like” haven’t experienced it or have and have now bitter resentment for it. So AG churches may not be your cup of tea, but that doesn’t mean you have the place to cast judgment or criticism on it. And another thing, when it comes to Palin I think looking at her view on issues and policy is enough to not vote for her. Her church pales in significance.

Yes, it does. These ludicrous people are in charge of local and national policy. They preach hate, attempt to dominate peoples’ ways of thinking and criticize several of my reasonable lifestyle choices.
I think it’s all fair to call them what they are - zombies. Look at the damn video, it’s like a bad horror movie.

It sort of reminds me of Brad Pitt’s performance as a lunatic, in Twelve Monkeys. And that was considered to be over acting.

Oh dear, those crazy Christians and their dancing and whooping it up to the glory of gawwwd, it’s terrible, revolting, not fit for decent people! Now if you’ll excuse me I’ve got to go drop e and dance to some breakbeat at a rave. I hope there’s cuddling!

It’s like a really bad rave where they forgot to turn down the lights.
Someone *should* give them all an e. And change the music…

You know - these people are just expressing their worship of the living God. The guy that put this on says that he’s going to a rave …… don’t you realize that a ‘rave’ is the root for the word ‘ ravenous’ ‘ raving’ … as in raving mad ….. Get a grip - look at your own ‘ rave’

I am absolutely appalled at most of your reactions to this video. Just because you don’t know about or understand the Assemblies of God, or any other Pentecostal church for that matter doesn’t mean that they must be “zombies”. And, I realize that this is a small forum, but I find it ridiculous that you say they preach hate. Um, can you give me an example of the “hate” that the Assemblies of God preaches?
Jane : Sep 5, 2008 at 10:42 pm
tThey may not preach hate but they preach humiliation of relatives who are not religious and practice humiliation of those relatives in their public prayers..
malcreant : Sep 6, 2008 at 11:04 pm
Well, if they preach from Leviticus they can find some ammo for hating. They will also do will in Deuteronomy.

Liberals enjoy murdering unborn children and they say somebody’s church is hateful? Amazing!
Torgny : Sep 11, 2008 at 6:48 pm
Otherwise harmless church? You obviously have not paid attention to the video clips showing the minister telling his congregation that they will burn in hell if they vote for the wrong candidate, etc. This church is far from harmless (and far from preaching love and tolerance).

If despising somebody else’s beliefs makes you feel more secure in your own, fine. The video isn’t anything different than the AG churches I’ve seen where I live (and I live in Canada). You can hate on the “zombies” all you like, and they can hate on you, but when are we going to realize we each have a right to be here? If it ain’t for you just shake your head, snicker behind their back, and be on your merry way.
